I have to admit that I was concerned when I opened the package and saw just how small this is - didn't seem substantial enough to do what it promised. HOWEVER, it is working great with my Lenovo Twist Ultrabook, which has only 2 USB 3.0 ports.
The main reason I purchased this was the "extra long" cables, and they are, indeed, wonderful. I was also impressed with the 5-year warranty.
I have 2 external HDDs, 1 DVD R/Writer, 1 camera, 1 phone, and 1 mouse transceiver plugged into the unit full-time, and my tablet off and on, so I am definitely using all ports. I occasionally have issues with accessing the HDDs or camera, which I fix by plugging the problem device into USB1 port. However, I don't think that this is a problem with the hub - rather, the age-old issue with device drivers always wanting to be the "one and only" on a port. And, since I now have a continuously open laptop port, if I'm in a hurry, I can also just plug the problem device directly into that port to complete a task.
Because the hub is so compact and light-weight, I cut a slice of Gripeez(T) to stabilize it on the desktop - my laptop is on an articulating arm, so this ensures I don't accidentally pull the hub and all attached devices off the desk. I have also found that, with USB 3.0 cables being thick and stiff, they tend to cause stability problems. I mention this because the compact size is wonderful - the hub takes up hardly any space, leaving room for all my devices. And, when traveling, the hub takes up "no" room, so I can bring as many device along as I need.
In summary, this was a great investment - I would otherwise have been quite unhappy with my new ultrabook, as I am used to being able to have all my devices available all the time.
